Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 June 2026

These Terms govern the use of the Beethovium application ("the app"), an ear-training application provided free of charge by an independent developer ("the developer"). By creating an account or using the app, the user agrees to these Terms. If the user does not agree, they should not use the app.

Eligibility

The app is intended for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed to children under 16, and accounts should not be created by anyone under that age. By using the app, the user confirms they are at least 16 years old.

The account

Some features require an account, which can be created with an email address and password or through Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. The user is responsible for keeping their login credentials secure and for activity that takes place under their account. If a user believes their account has been accessed without permission, they should change their password and contact [email protected].

An account can be deleted at any time from within the app or through the web deletion page. Deletion is permanent, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

The app is provided for personal, non-commercial ear-training use. Users agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt or overload it, accessing it through unauthorized means, interfering with its security, or using it to break any applicable law. The developer may suspend or remove an account that is used in these ways.

The content and the service

The app's lessons, audio, exercises, and other materials are provided for the user's personal practice and remain the property of the developer. They may not be copied, redistributed, or used commercially without permission.

The app is offered free of charge and is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. The developer does not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, and may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Because the app is provided free and on a non-commercial basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law the developer is not liable for any loss arising from its use. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights the user has under mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law.

Privacy

How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means the updated Terms are accepted.
